Grass Jelly Vine
If you can grow your own plant to make jello without preservatives, would you grow it? This amazing plant called Grass Jelly Vine (Tiliacora triandra or Suong Sam) can do this very thing!
The vine can travel 20-30 ft, or more. It will climb on anything it grabs on, and make its way to the top for full sun. It's great to grow on trellis for more decorative look, or grow on a pole and allow stems to wrap up and down as it grows. As a space saver, it can be grown in a pot with tomato cage. Young and mature stems are flexible and have tough fiber. It is difficult to break without using scissors.
♥How to Use♥
Harvest the leaves to crush and extract the juice to make "jello". See the video below to demonstrate how easy it can be done!
♥How to Grow♥
This vine handles year round weather in zone 10-11 very well. It will need to be protected from frost in colder climates. It can be grown in part sun or full sun. It's not picky with soil needs, allowing soil to be moist.

To my friends in HAWAII -- Since shipping live plants to the State of Hawaii are required to be shipped bare root, or in soil-less medium, I cannot ship this plant since I cannot guarantee the life of it upon arrival. If you have any questions, please contact me. Mahalo!
