$18.50

Sold Out

This listing is for 1 healthy, fully rooted White Mugwort AKA Yomogi, Guizhou, or Artemisia lactiflora.  This plant is considered to be a tonic herb in ancient plant medicine because of its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic, anti-rheumatic properties.  This herb is commonly used in China, Japan and Korea medicinally and in culinary.  In traditional Chinese Medicine, this herb is used to aid the liver, menstrual-related disorders.

How to Use
Leaves and tender stems are edible.  Can be used in soaps, dried for tea, or I sometimes pick a few leaves to add to large green juices that I make.  This variety seems to have most mild aroma compared to the many I've experienced.

How to Grow
This is a hardy perennial to grow.  This plant continues to grow new branches even in the winter in zone 10.  For places that freezes, it's best to grow in containers to take inside.  Cuttings can be made easily just by cutting a stem and place it in a pot with soil to promote root development.  This herb branches out in dark green leaves and deep reddish stems even in the winter in Southern California. Best to grow in full sun or part shade, keep soil moist.
